Just returned from a very successful foray into the local charity shops. Bought a beautiful quilted ‘Per Una’ brand jacket for £7. So lovely, looks like its never been worn; quilted with a feather and down filling, detachable hood and (fake) fur trim. Fits perfectly. I look great in it.
Pleased with my find I tell my lovely wife. Ooh, she says, it’s green. My heart sinks, it’s her favourite colour. She tries it on, fits her perfectly (we both take a UK14). Knowing I’ve lost, I say ‘you can have it’. We can share, she says. Ummm, maybe.
Being the same size can be a drag. Sharing only seems to go ‘one way’.
Oh well. She did buy me 2 hours of make-up lessons. And I love her beyond life.
