The muddy nonsense that is Transgender Healthcare

I came across this excellent piece in The Guardian  today on the grey areas surrounding the issuing of prescriptions for hormones. I have to assume that I could be considered as someone who is in receipt of a ‘bridging prescription’ whilst I wait the long delay before an appointment at a gender clinic. My prescription comes from specialist GP registered with the General Medical Council and who practices as an NHS GP.

It is high time that patients come first. I am transgender. I am NOT mentally ill.
